    A Little Tour Update

    Hi friends,

What a year it has been! We started off on the Winter Jam tour in the midst of the Hundred More Years release, had the most fun night at the Dove Awards before summer festivals kicked off, and now we are in full time touring season.

The best part? The year isn’t even over yet!

We've been so busy lately, and I've been meaning to write a blog for weeks, but it's better late than never, right? Maybe you’ve seen some of these photos on Twitter, but I’d love to share with you the story behind what is happening on the road.

I have been out on tour with Jeremy Camp & Adam Cappa for the “We Cry Out Tour.” It’s been SO much fun hanging out with these guys and traveling around from city to city playing really fun shows. We do a VIP Q&A session every night before the show, and we have the best time laughing and answering questions and meeting fans. I really am so glad to be touring with these two!

Here are a few photos I’ve taken on the road:

Sound checking getting ready for a great night! (If you’ve been to a show recently, I’d love if you shared your photos.)

One thing that has been awesome is having my family and whole band out on the road with me. We’ve been having a great time hanging out, catching up, eating way too much food, and playing games on the bus.

We’ve been playing a bunch of songs from the latest record on this tour. Here’s me and Matt playing one of our favorites live, “Hundred More Years.” (Yes, that's Matt playing guitar! He's so multi-talented!:)

Of course, we’re playing songs from My Paper Heart as well. What songs would you like to hear live??

I’ve loved having this little guy out on the road with us! It’s such a blessing to be able to travel with my husband and son. I definitely don't take it for granted.

And you all have been so awesome, coming out to the shows and singing along! If you haven’t been able to catch a show yet, we've still got a month left, and I’d love to see you!

In the midst of touring season, the biggest thing that has happened family-wise is my son Eli turned one! It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since he was born. Before the tour started, we had a robot party for him back home to celebrate with our family!

Getting ready to blow out his first candle!

Last, but not least, earlier this year I was able to join some fellow artists on the recording of (Music Inspired By) The Story. I sang Mary’s Song “Be Born In Me” for this project. It was written by Nichole Nordeman (one of my heroes) and Bernie Herms (Natalie Grant's hubby), and it is a beautiful song. We’ll be going on tour this winter so be sure to come out to a show!

Keep checking back for all sorts of updates through the rest of the tour and as The Story tour gets started too! And thank YOU for all of your support, kind words, singing along at the shows, and sharing my music with your friends. It means the world to me!

    Love,
    Francesca
