GMA Week and the Dove Awards

GMA Week and the Dove Awards

Well, my second GMA week is officially behind me. Phew. What a whirlwind! Last year at GMA I couldn’t get arrested, as they say, but this year was a much different story. Back to back interviews with radio and media folks, showcases, lunch meetings, and plenty of catching up with people that I only see once in a blue moon kept me very busy. But what would GMA be if it weren’t a week’s worth of running around? Let’s just say that Starbucks was my friend. And I wasn’t even there for the whole week! I had a show in Minneapolis on Tuesday night, so I missed a good portion of it. Sunday and Monday were both full days worth of interviews, Tuesday was a show day, and after I landed at the airport Wednesday afternoon, I went straight to the Opry to rehearse for the Dove Awards on Thursday. Thursday started at 11 in the morning with dress rehearsals, hair and makeup, and dress fittings. The backstage area was PACKED, and I shared a dressing room the size of a pantry (literally) with three other women. We were ALL up in each others’ space. But what an experience! Getting to sing live on TV at the Dove Awards?! Hello, dream come true. It was truly an unforgettable night, and I can’t believe I made it through that crazy week. But my family and friends were watching, and the people I love most got to be a part of an incredible night. God is good!

I hope to see some of you soon! I’m in Ohio this week and in Virginia and Maine this weekend, so check the tour schedule to see if I’m coming anywhere near you. If so, come on out to a show and say hi! God bless you, and talk soon!
